This is kind of a model of a car that I have designed taking inspiration from caravans and other various types of cars found nowadays. Materials used in making this are popsicle sticks, cardboard, a broken toy car/truck (or if you don’t have any way to get a broken toy car/truck you can make wheels using a paper stick/ any other stick and bottle caps AND then you can make the other parts of the cars using cardboard, glue and popsicle sticks), acrylic paint (preferably Pidilite), a cutting blade, transparent plastic sheet (optional- to make windows), Fevicol, some creative ideas and lots of patience!
Unlike I usually do with crafts, this time I’m not going to be giving steps to make this model because in this there is a lot of scope for creativity, you can make the model that you want, you can design it your own way (I will suggest you to first draw the idea in your head on a piece of paper and then start making it). Once you are done making your model, give it a nice colour (I have used metallic colours for my model). After the paint dries off, take a piece of paper and create a name for your car model as well as a company in case you want to make more creative cars and design a logo as well! I combined two words to make the name of the company ; car + avec. Avec= with in French, therefore the name becomes Caravec meaning car with. Then, I named the car Cottageon A375 after it’s design which looks like a cottage on top of pickup car and just added a few numbers and a letter for effect.
After the paint dries, your model is ready!!!

This is a painting done using Fevicryl Paints, and craft paper. The main idea behind doing such a painting was to see the combination of beautiful hibiscus flowers done on a paper with a nice texture. The small square texture was made by weaving rows of hard black-coloured craft paper on which I painted the flowers and leaves. It looks really nice, doesn’t it?

Does a black cat crossing your path,
Bring you misfortune, really?
Or is it not just a false belief,
Indicating that we are being quite silly,

And what do you think about split salt,
Of bad luck is it the delivery man?
YOU, can’t change your destiny or fate,
But, granules of salt can?
Haven’t you ever heard the proverb,
‘What you sow, shall you reap,’
And yet in such silly superstitions,
Do you think your belief you should keep?

Your bad luck and your misfortune,
Only depend upon you what you do,
Cause harm to others and no matter what,
Karma will never fail to get you,
Think before you act,
And I’ll tell you a fact,
If you harm none and be considerate,
No silly superstition will ever alter your fate!

Once upon a time,
Arrived a huge earthquake,
Which made me and my house,
Bounce about and shake,

It lasted for an hour,
Then it lost its power,
But that was quite enough,
For my house to flip over,
When I entered my house,
The sight made my jaw drop,
For the ceiling, fans and lights were on the floor,
While the tiled floor was on the top,
Stupefied at the scene,
My room I rushed to see,
Like a chandelier, hung my bed from the ceiling,
And my cupboard was far from where it used to be,
All the rooms I hurried through,
But it felt as though they were new,
Blankly, I had a seat on the ceiling,
Wondering if I was dreaming,
Suddenly everything started to shake,
And someone violently shook me awake,
Opened my eyes, I saw my mother and she said,
“You fell asleep reading about an earthquake!”

This is an old-fashioned motorbike made from old newspaper rolls, paint and glue. It is very simple to make with all you have to do is roll strips of the old newspaper in different shapes for different parts( I suggest taking wide strips especially for the tires of the motorbike so it will be able to stand upright) of the motorbike (as shown in the above image) and glue them together as different parts of the motorbike. Lastly, once the glue has dried, paint the motorbike with acrylic paint (I suggest using Pidilite or Camlin paints) of your choice. The best part of this craft is that it is easy to make, doesn’t take much time and looks quite good to keep as home décor item/ showpiece.

This another beautiful Madhubani styled painting done on recycled notebook paper. Painted with acrylics, this is a painting of the Sun God or Lord Surya in the tribal art of Madhubani. Traditionally, there aren’t many colors usually used in Madhubani paintings since the tribals used made from vegetables, fruits and other natural plant dyes. Thus, in this painting, I have painted Lord Surya using only white and red paint along with black for outline whereas, the background in chrome yellow with streaks of yellow ochre. The best part about this painting is the combination of all colors giving the intended effect!!!

This is a comic adaptation of the poem – The Life Of A Cupcake by Shelby Greer. Nothing much, except for a fun way to understand the poem! Below, I have given the verses of the incredible poem :
They put me in the oven to bake.
Me, a deprived and miserable cake.
Feeling the heat, I started to bubble.
Watching the others, I knew I was in trouble.
They opened the door and I started my life.
Frosting me with a silver knife,
Decorating me with candy jewels.
The rest of my batch looked like fools.
Lifting me up, she took off my wrapper.
Feeling the breeze, I wanted to slap her.
Opening her mouth with shiny teeth inside,
This was the day this cupcake died.

This is another craft made out of recycled paper. For instructions on how to recycle paper and another craft idea, I recommend you to pay a visit to these posts- https://artistic.poetry.blog/2020/12/11/recycled-paper-snowman/ https://artistic.poetry.blog/2020/12/04/madhubani-lotus-on-recycled-paper/
In this craft I have molded the recycled paper mash into a circle with a crisscross pattern and also molded the remaining paper mash into flower shape and leaf shapes. After these items have dried completely, I painted the crisscross patterned circle with Acrylic Pearl Black/Metallic Black Pidilite Paint and the flowers and leaves with bright Pidilite Acrylic Paints and left them for about a whole day to dry. Once the paint dried I glued the flowers and leaves in a random arrangement according to my choice. The colors and size depends upon your need and your wall background where you want to place the wall hanging!!!
